Sponsorship and Donation
Public defibrillators need looking after. Pads and batteries have a working life and units need servicing or replacing. It is the generosity of our community that keeps us going.
What your donation pays for
- Replacement padsEvery unit needs pads. They have an expiry date and are changed before expiration. A new set is fitted every time a defibrillator is used in a real emergency.
- New batteriesBatteries have a working life and need replacing once they reach a certain age, sooner in units that are used more often in emergencies.
- Replacing unitsTo stay operationally "rescue ready", defibrillators need servicin or replacing as they approach or reach the end of their working life.
- The wider groupDonations also go towards the group as a whole, including the equipment we use to teach CPR in the community and the kit our responders use to respond to emergencies.
